Examining the dark side of motivation on life satisfaction in college students: does grit matter?

Even though teachers can have an important effect on the regulation of student behavior, existing scientific literature has hardly explored simultaneous influence personal traits and social factors to promote well-being. This study examined mediating role amotivated behavior relationship with teacher controlling behaviors, grit, satisfaction life. A total 474 college students (female= 135; male= 339) participated in study. All participants completed a multi-section survey assessing constructs under analysis. Results from structural model analysis displayed acceptable fit amotivation played between grit-perseverance life but not for grit-passion. These findings provide evidence regarding adequate importance measuring grit classroom setting. new insights into understanding motivational behaviors learning processes that behavioral regulations affective outcomes.
